The age limit for Government Jobs of Andhra Pradesh is increased to 36 years

Though unemployed candidates are demanding the government to increase the age limit by 5 years but, Government had decided only to increase it by 2 years. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh had cleared the file regarding this yesterday. G.O will be passed regarding this with in two days. As per this decision, the age limit to join a Government job for OC candidates is 36 years. The age limit for BC, SC, ST candidates is 41 years.
Ex-Chief Minister Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy garu had increased the age limit from 29 years to 34 years. So, people again demanded for the increase of limit by 5 years. They have shown other states which have age limit over 40 years as an examples. They have demanded that because there is no regular recruitment for Government jobs. Several Ministers have also written letters to the chief minister to increase the limit by 5 years. But Chief Minister decided to increase by 2 years only. Kiran Kumar Reddy also decided to apply reforms in APPSC from the next year. From next year Group-1 and Group-2 posts are also being merged.
