Andhra Congress divided over tie-up with Chiru

Serious differences have cropped up in the ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh following its state chief's decision to forge an alliance with the Praja Rajyam Party of actor-cum-politician Chiranjeevi for the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

I feel after the Jagan issue, jagan is not looking quite stable in Congress. no one knows whats going on in jagan's mind. If jagan does go out of the party along with his supporters, then the Congress will definitely need the alliance of Praja Rajyam. Else I think the Congress will keep the offer on hold for as long as they can and would maintain smooth relationship with the Praja Rajyam party.

Praja Rajyam cannot do wonder for Congress. Chiranjeevi as a person may be good but as a party chief he has to learn more. His party is yet to have a strong grass root level. Chiranjeevi needs to strengthen his party first and then think of alliance with Congress. Its Chiranjeevi needs Congress and not Congress in need of Chiranjeevi.

Chiru's PRP is likely to be given place in cabinet. Negotiations were being done among both congress and PRP about portfolios. PRP is demanding 6 portfolios where congress is offering 4.

PRP has declared that it not going to be involved into Kiran Kumar's Cabinet. This step is really a good one because, at the time of elections PRP said that defeating congress is their main agenda as they were looting public money and now how can it be part of congress government???.

Atleast this has saved party to some extent.
