Yes Hyderabad Metro will definitely reduce the traffic congestion in the city. Soil testing for the project has already started in the city and the work will commence soon.

hi members
After the introduction of Delhi metro, we have witnessed a massive improvement in traffic as well as ease in travel. Its really pleasing to see metro station infrastructure and we can feel proud about it.
Similarly in hugely populated cities like Hyderabad it is the need of the hour to introduce metro.
Not only the Hyderabad metro will reduce the traffic congestion in the city but it will also add a milestone to our state. That's for sure! It will save time as well as provide much more comfortable journey indeed at a very low cost.

Yes, it is obvious that Introduction of Metro in hyderabad will definately clear traffic hassles.
But the major challenge here in hyderabad is the execution of Project, and It is not so easy to lay track in a city like hyderabad.
If you see Metro in Delhi, most of the track laid underground and we can see elevated tracks only in few areas and the elevated track laid in NOIDA sector won't affects road traffic and so it was a bit easy.
Here in Hyderabad, Underground track laying is not possible as it would be a mess in rainy season. And for elevated track, lots of co-ordination should be needed between various authorities. If a flyover(punjagutta) of hardly 1 to 1.5 kms length had collapsed two times, how can we expect that everything would go well for metro? where it necessitates kilometers of track laying work.
I am not pointing anyone or not intended to under estimate the metro project, but just want to throw some light on prevalent things.
I wish Metro to be completed successfully.
