Hi Friends,
Every body might have one day or other faced the problem of traffic in Hyderabad. What are the reasons you think for increase in traffic in Hyderabad especially in some areas like Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Mettuguda, Dilsukh Nagar etc.
The main causes what I feel are as under :
- Lack of knowledge of traffic rules - This is only in few cases. As now almost each and every person is educated, so maximum people know the traffic rules.
- Ignorance - Maximum people ignore the traffice rules. If each and everybody follow the traffic rules, then there will not be any problem of traffic jams.
- Increase in Population - Day by day the population in Hyderabad is increasing. Many people from villages are coming to Hyderabad in search of job. As population increases due to birth rate the traffic will also increase.
- Proper Roads - There are some jokes say if a woman with labour pains before delivery is taken on road in a vehicle, she will deliver the child on road, itself that is the situation of the roads in Hyderabad. So we can imagine how the roads are.
- Rains - There is no proper drainage system in well developed city say Hyderabad, even if the rain is for half an hour the roads will be with full of water, that will effect the traffic.
- Increase of vehicles - Nowadays each and every person is having a four wheeler. It will occupy more space, naturally traffic will jammed. It is easy to take a four wheeler, as now so many firms are giving finance.
- Independency - People travelling in the same route though belong to a family, will prefer to take their individual vehicles, thereby the traffic jam will also come.
Not only these, but there are many more reasons, so friends I think we have to educate people to follow the traffic rules.
My posting this forum may not bring change, but atleast if a person thinks on this issue, and he puts some message somewhere and it may spread like that, atleast if 10% of the people change, then there is a meaning in my posting this here will be fulfilled.

Yes i aggree with you. There are many issues for increasing traffic. But everyone should take initiative for avoiding traffic. Every one should follow rules and regulations.

Hi Subba raju,
I agree with you.The only way to reduce traffic in any region includes hyderabad is by inculcating some traffic sense to the people and this can be done only by students.Students should try to propagate Traffic rules and bring some awareness in the people's mind and bring traffic into control.This only cannot reduce the traffic each and every person should have an intent to control the traffic then only this can be possible.
