Dinesh i am having problem with computer. When i switch on the computer, the CPU button is not coming to on mode. I think the current is passing through UPS and spiker, but there is problem with CPU. what could be. I am forced to contribute responses from the internet center for the past one week.
Lets unitedly work for the progress of this site...

Sir, I think there is a problem with your cpu button,try to replace it. else there is also an alternate option to switch on ur system without using your power button...
TRY THIS WITH YOUR OWN RISK!
1)open your cabinet.
2)find the slot in the motherboard where your power button cable connects to motherboard.
3)unplug that cable, then you find 2 pins there.
4)now switch on ur UPS nd just short that 2 pins using a screw driver.
THATSALL
Now your pc will start without using any button.

Hi dinesh im having a problem with my laptop. The performance is ok but it takes lot of time to start which really tests my patience.

Harika, it happens because of many reasons,so first follow these steps and then go for the ULTIMATE SOLUTION.
1)Disconnect your pendrive,bluetooth dongle and also remove cds or dvds from your laptop while it is booting.
2)If you installed so many applications then try to uninstall some of them.
ULTIMATE SOLUTION:
1)open start\run then type msconfig in that window.
2)It opens a "system configuration utility" .
3)In that window click on startup tab, then it displays all the applications which executes at the time of startup.
4)untick the applications which you dont need then click on apply and close it.
THATSALL.

Even i used to have the same problem . The problem is because of too many programs that load which can be seen at right bottom part of screen of the laptop while loading.
Going for the ultimate solution mentioned by dinesh above frees RAM by temporarily disabling the applications. If you dont want the programs to be present in your system then you can uninstall them so that you can free your hard disk also. That proved best in my case.

For the desktop, the problem can be possibly of two things one is dust the other is SMPS.
and for laptop question problem can be because of start up programs you can de select the start up programs those programs which starts when you boots Or
It can be due to virus which possibly we dont expect to happen holding some anti virus Or
It can be due to over memory usage. You need to keep atleast 10% of your hard disk memory for free usage which your computer might use as a ram replacement at memory over usage Or
You might have installed any software/database/ virtual machine/ any software which equals or dominates your ram capacity. In this case you can upgrade ram.
many more reasons can possibly exist. you need exactly mention configuration of your computer and major softwares you are holding and memory usages.
there is one more possibility that you might be dealing with duplicate hardware.

Hi friends I would like to know what to do in this situation.
My laptop is constantly showing a message like "acresso software manager stopped working" It is giving me two options either to close the program and search in the internet for a solution
When I searched in the net for the solution it just asked me to see if any updates possible but my windows update is not able to find any
Im not able to locate where this acresso software manager is in my computer and what it is all about.
So friends please help me what to do to solve this error

It is not a threat. All you need to do is change the frequency in updating software.
This is a software updater.
If your laptop is still under warranty you can regularly update software using this.
If your laptop is out of warranty you can uninstall this software.
In task manager it is seen as agent.exe
Nothing to fear about this message

Sir,
pls dont run your computer without antivirus
1)If you have internet
2)If you use pendrives frequently.
Yes there will be problem but it will remain unidentified if there is no anti virus.
Many best antivirus are available for free(trail versions). you can reinstall them after 30 days. The best anti virus i use are
1.kaspersky
2.eset nod32
3.avast(freeware)
There are many other best anti viruses available.
I use eset because it will not ask to enter code after reinstalling when trail version is over.
Remember to use only one antivirus at a time.
Ultimate solution :
Use combofix(under proper guidance only) to scan your computer.
It is useful incase of severe threat. Its like last hope.

I am using AVG free antivirus 2011 and it is quite effective. AVG also provides better internet security

Hi friends,
Every body is well aware of Anti virus but it will be very surprising to you if i say, Anti virus itself is the main source of virus as almost each and every system holds anti virus.
Linux and solaris are better options of operating system if you wish to avoid virus.
But if you are comfortable only in using windows Operating system.
Then use kaspersky for internal system purpose and avg for internet purpose as they are light weight antivirus.
Avg needs to be updated on daily basis. Otherwise it is of no use.
Norton Nod 32 are not of use unless they are original licensed.
And they are heavy weight. They will take more space of your system and degrade performance.
The best thing is avoid illegal sites and avoid clicking unnecessary links.
Till my knowledge, Avast and rest of antivirus can be ignored. They were never much useful for me.
If you are using pendrives for data transfer from other machines, I opt you to try it in linux and delete virus files yourself. You can find unnecessary .exe files which are virus files.
Virus is nothing but a attached program file which will intrude with any other file you download and is designed for some functionality mostly any tricky aspect of stopping some functionalities.
There is nothing much to worry about it. Only thing you are supposed to do is know more about your system and system files along with what enjoying your machine.
