Exam Details - Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) - Engineering Stream
Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test commonly known as EAMCET. It is conducted by different universities every year on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education(APSCHE). This section is all about EAMCET - Engineering Stream. Most of the Engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh admit students based on the EAMCET Rank in the Engineering Stream.

EAMCET-Engineering Eligibility Criteria Candidates applying for EAMCET- Engineering should satisfy the following Eligibility Criteria:
• Candidate should have passed Intermediate or Equivalent in MPC or MBiPC Streams. • Candidates who have registered for the Intermediate Second year exams for the respective year can also write the exam, but their candidature for the exam is valid only if the he/she successfully clears the Intermediate Exams that year. •Candidates should be AP Residents as per the Admission Regulations defined in the A.P.Educational Institutions.
Syllabus of EAMCET-Engineering The Engineering stream of EAMCET consists of three sections Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The syllabus of EAMCET is almost same as that of Intermediate (both years).

Examination Pattern of EAMCET- Engineering The paper consists of a three Sections : • Mathematics (including Maths-A and Maths-B) • Physics • Chemistry A total of 160 mutiple-choice questions will be asked. 80 Question from Mathematics, 40 from Physics and 40 from Chemistry.

Ranking Criteria of EAMCET-Engineering • Minimum Marks to be obtained in EAMCET-Engineering is 40 for General and OBC Candidates. There is no such limit defined in case of SC/ST candidates. • All Eligible candidates will be given a rank combining the score of both EAMCET and Intermediate Second year (or equivalent). 75% weightage is given to the EAMCET score whereas 25% weightage is given for Intermediate Second year percentage.
