    GSM together with other technologies is part of an evolution of wireless mobile telecommunications. Communication can be achieved by both wired and wireless technologies. At present communication system has its growth in Mobile technology GSM and CDMA technologies. GSM systems have ben developed over the last decade to allow cellular communications systems to move beyond the limitations posed by the older analog systems.

    Using wireless technology minimizes desk clutter and reiterates the strong market for technology that allows for simplicity within the home office.The Industrial process control and monitoring using GSM is the evidence for the efficient use of automation, and is constructed round the micro-controller.

    The micro-controller plays an intelligent role in controlling various industrial appliances. The devices that we want to control are given in the form of message and the GSM module will receive it and will enable or disable the devices. Based on the requirement and the status of the devices is displayed on LCD.

    The software is developed in C language, by using Keil uVision2 IDE , Interfacing concepts of LCD, GSM system, and interfaces with PC through serial communication.
