To make the Sammakka Saralamma Jathara at Medaram in Warangal District a huge success and for the devotees to be comfortable the government and the officials are making a lot of arrangements.

Sammakka Saralamma Jathara Arrangements

The government is taking a lot of initiative in seeing that the devotees who reach the Sammakka Saralamma Jathara at Medaram will not face any difficulty and for this the government has sanctioned about Rs 20.42 crore for erecting permanent structures and for many other facilities including the basic amenities for devotees attending Sammakka Saralamma Jathara at Medaram.

The Chief Minister Mr. Roasaiah himself conveyed a meeting with the officials and ministers involved with the Sammakka Saralamma Jathara to make sure that all the arrangements are being made so that the devotees do not face any problem. Also he has directed the medical and health department to be fully prepared to face any sort of situation if aroused.

The CM has directed the department of culture to organize a tribal exhibition, tribal folk arts and cultural programmes by tribal artistes from various districts of Andhra Pradesh during the three days of festival. The officials have taken up work for laying of new roads along the forest which leads to the festival area along with the arrangement for drinking water, sanitation, electricity and other arrangements.

The various arrangements by the government for the Sammakka Saralamma Jathara at Medaram in Warangal District are as follows:

1. Establish a permanent tribal village.
2. Establish a tribal museum.
3. The entire Jatara area is divided in to 40 pockets for effective supervision.
4. Erecting of 12 temporary bus shelters for devotees
5. APSRTC is running 2,600 buses from different places to reach Medaram.
6. 7,000 policemen to give security for the festival
7. 100 wireless sets for effective communication
8. 20 zoom cameras and CC TV sets for security coverage
9. 40-bed hospital for devotees
10. Erecting of 6,000 temporary toilets
11. A large number of bore wells and hand-pumps at different places.
12. Arrangement of 180 hundis for devotees.
