Reaching Sammakka Saralamma Jathara
The Sammakka Saralamma festival or Jathara in Warangal District is regarded as one of the famous festivals in the country. Sammakka Saralamma Jathara was usually held at the end of January moth every 2 years once. This festival takes place inside the deep forests at Medaram in Taadwai taluk of Warangal district every two years. Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation known as APSRTC has made elaborate transport arrangements to this place by arranging special buses which are around 2,600 from different places to Medaram. Buses ply from different place in regular intervals. It is recommended to the pilgrims to come with full preparations for the festival because there are also many Tourist places in Warangal like the famous Rammappa Temple, Thousand Pillars temple, Warangal Fort, Bhadrakali Temple, lakkavaram Lake, Mettu Gutta and many other places.
