    Warangal is also known for its temples. There a many temples in warangal which are known for its history and belief


    Major Temples in Warangal


    Warangal is a place which is known for its diverse culture and history. There are a lot of temples in Warangal since Warangal is ruled by the Telugu speaking kings of the Kakatiya Dynasty during which Warangal has got a lot of importance. Even now Warangal is one of the prominent places in the state and is also the district head quarters. Warangal is known for its Temples and its festivals. The major temples in Warangal are the Bhadrakali Temple, Rammappa Temple and the Thousand Pillars Temple which are also tourist places.

    Apart from these temples there many other temples with their own history and dedicated to different deities. Most of the temples fall under a Devasthanam.
