Andhra Pradesh Speaker accepts the resignations of the 12 Telengana Legislators

Based on the decision to appoint the Sri Krishna Committee to look into the Telangana State issue the committee started working on the issue. It is said by the Telangana Legislators that the Sri Krishna Committee’s approach or terms dealing with the Telangana State hood is not in a right way and that the committee is not in favor of the separate state based on their work around 15 Legislators from Telangana has submitted their resignations to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday.

The speaker took some time to look into the constitutional way and on Monday has accepted 12 resignations. Out of the 10 resignations 10 belong to the Telangana Rasthra Samiti (TRS) and one from each the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which is the main opposition party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The speaker is yet to take decision on the 2 legislators from the ruling congress and one from Praja Rajyam Party (PRP).

The political JAC or the all party Joint Action Committee(JAC) has raised its concerns and voice against the Srikrishna panel terms of reference and asked all its elected representatives to mass resign from all their posts by Monday. As of now only 15 have submitted their resignations.
