Sona masuri ..the original name is Swarna Masuri

Kurnool Sona Masuri rice is most famous branded and sought after rice by the Telangana people in particular and Andhra people in general.

In olden days Sona Masuri brand rice was called as Swarna Rice. And now it is called by Sona Masuri.

Sona Masuri Available regions
Sona Masuri is a medium-grain rice grown largely in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Sona masuri is not a boiled rice, but raw rice. The best varieties of sona massuri are Kurnool, Nellore followed Warangal in Andhra Pradesh State.

It is lightweight and aromatic, and considered to be of premium quality.

By large it is considered to be a healthy diet as it contains less starch and is easily digestible. Ideal for preparing dishes like sweet pongal, biryani, fried rice etc..

The Kurnool variety of Sona Masuri is the most tastiest of all the sona masuri rice available in the state.
