Kailasgiri Hill station is one of the famous and popular hill stations in Andhra pradesh.Kailasgiri hills is one of the favourite tourist spots to the foreigners as well as the Indians. It occupies an area of 350 acres and these hills are around 360 feet high from the the foot hill.Kailasgiri Hills are named so because there are sculptures of Lord Shiva and Parvathi. The height of these sculptures is 40 feet high on the top hills of Kailasgiri.

Kailasgiri Hills are located near the famous Rushikonda beach. We can see the beauty of sea and the Visakapatnam city from the Kailasgiri Hills. This view appears extraordinary during the night times.

How to reach Kailasgiri Hills

One can reach Kailasgiri Hills by Road. By road, two wheelers (like scooters, bikes, bicycles), cars and buses are allowed. There is a toll entry at the foot hills for all these vehicles. There is also one more special entrance to reach the tophills. It is a Ropeway. The Kailagiri Passenger Rope Way starts from the foothill and reaches the destination at the tophills. The journey through the ropeway is really a very thrilling experience. We can view the city at a glance. The cost of the ticket for ropeway journey is also very less. It is only 44 Rs for to and fro journey.

Highlights of Kailasgiri

As this Kailasgiri is at the top hills, one can enjoy the nature along with the sea breeze. Kailasgiri hills is one of the best place to relax and sit in the gardens and enjoy the nature . By climbing the road train on Kailasgiri hills, they can view all the places on the Kailasgiri, this reduces the strain without walking.The journey in this train is around 20 minutes.The ticket costs around 40 RS for adults and 30 Rs for children.
