Fee-Reimbursement Modified | 75% attendence is must | 1 lakh Maximum Income for Parents

There have been few modifications in the fee-reimbursement scheme for the post-metric students in the Andhra Pradesh. This article gives you the latest modifications and updates.

Unique identification numbers will be allotted to all students in the state who have enrolled themselves with the fee reimbursement scheme. This will be in effect from this year itself.

The Group of Ministers (GoM) recommended few modifications in the fee-reimbursement Scheme to avoid any misuse of the facility. These modifications were approved by the Cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday and the following guidelines were announced :

1) Students should be regular to their classes and should have no less that 75% of attendance. This rule will ensure that students who enjoy the reimbursement facility without attending classes will are longer supported.

2) Students should not fail even in one course in their academic curriculum. So the government will support only talented and hardworking students.

3) Students whose parents have annual income of more than 1 lakh rupees are no longer eligible for the reimbursement. The cabinet feels that those people can afford paying the fees. Every student applying for the fee-reimbursement should thus produce an Income Certificate that is duly signed by the Tasildar of the locality. It should also be duly signed by a notary on a Rs10 judicial stamp paper.

4) Only Students who have been directly admitted under the Convener Quota are eligible to avail this Scheme. Students who have moved to convener quota from Management quota or Spot admissions are not allowed for this scheme.

There have also been modifications made in The Free Corporate Education Scheme for the weaker sections.

1) Colleges will not be paid by the government if the student fails in the subject or drops some subjects. For this the responsibility is completely left to the corporate collages. There will be a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that the corporate collages which are willing to admit students under this scheme have to accept.

2) Students whose parents have a car for their own personal use are not eligible for this scheme.
