Common Wealth Games containing the soil from all the CWG Countries and carrying the message of the British Queen is going to enter our State. The Baton is going to visit Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

As a part of Common Wealth Games XIX to be conducted in Delhi, the Queen's Baton Relay is being taken throughout the Country.

The Queen's Baton of the Common Wealth Games will be arriving to Hyderabad through a flight from Raipur at 1pm on August 14,2010. Starting from the People's Plaza a rally will be started at 3pm. The rally would consist on the Governor, Mr E.S.L. Narasimhan, along with famous sportspersons like Saina Nehwal, Jwala Gutta, Pullela Gopichand, Azharuddin carrying the Baton.

Hobie boats will be displayed as a message to save Hussain Sagar. Hot air-balloons will be released to spread the awareness of the CWG all over the city . Proper parade will be done by a humal chain of NCC Cadets.

Going through Punjagutta and Khairatabad, the Baton will be reaching Vijay Bhaskar Stadium, where the Chief Minister Rosaiah will be honouring 50 eminent sportspersons from the state and and launching the PAIKKA grants and funds.
Over thousand youngsters who have won various awards for their sportsmanship throughout the year will also be falicitated.

Everyone and especially School and Collage children can visit the Vijay Bhaskar Stadium on August 15th to have a look at the Queen's Baton which will be showcased there for the whole day.

The Queen's Baton relay will be then taken to Visakhapatnam on August 16th where various cultural activities will be conducted. The main attraction os going to be the 100-boat rally in the sea.

The Baton will be then taken to Vijayawada with a convoy of 26 army vehicles and 100 army personnel. A special rally will be conducted in Vijayawada showcasing the Baton to the public.

From Vijayawada it would reach Tirupati and then to Chennai on August 19th.
