    Samosa preparation

    Samosa preparation and ingradients required for this process.


    Ingredients for Samosa Making:

    Potatoes - 3-4
    Maida – 1 cup
    Water to Knead dough
    Oil – 2 table spoons
    Garam masala - ½ table spoon
    Green Chilies (finely chopped) - 2
    Carrot finely diced – 1
    Green Peas (boiled) - 1/2 cup
    Ginger, Garlic (crushed) - ½ table spoon
    Onion finely chopped – 1
    Salt
    Chopped Cashews
    Red chili powder

    How to make samosa:

    For Cover of Samosa:

    Take salt, 1 cup of maida,oil and little water and mix all these ingredients in a bowl. Pat and knead well for several times into a soft pliable dough. Then cover this stuff with a cloth and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Stuffing in Samosa :
    Take the mashed potatoes,onions,boiled carrot pieces,chilli powder,garam masala,salt, mango powder, grren chillies,ginger garlic paste into one bowl and mix the ingredients very well. Add green peas, cashews and raisins to the mixed content and mix well. Keep this content aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
    How To Proceed for making Samosa :

    Now take the first mixed content and make the stuff into small rolls of dough and roll it into a 4"-5" diameter circle. Then cut this material into two parts like semi-circle. Now take one semi circle and fold it like a cone. Utilize the water when doing so. Now add a spoon of filling into the cone and close the third side also by wetting it with water.

    Place a frying pan on the stove and pour the oil into the pan and heat it. Now place these pieces in the oil and fry them until they turn brown colour. Now its time to serve samosa hot with hari chutney, tamarind chutney.
