Syllabus for Ed-CET, Sections in Ed-CET paper

Syllabus for Ed-CET Examination
The Ed-CET paper is divided into three sections. The sectional syllabus for the Ed-CET exam is as follows
Section – A : General English
This section requires you to go through the following : - Various kinds of Comprehensions. - Words from Advanced English – their Synonyms and Antonyms - Grammar – Verbs, Nouns, Adverbs, Adjectives, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spellings etc. - Sentences – Simple Sentences, Compound and Complex Sentences, Passive and Active Voice, Direct and Indirect Speech etc.
Section - B: General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude
This Section requires you to sharep your knowledge over the general facts and figures of the world (mostly India and neighboring Countries). It includes : - General knowledge – know about anything and everything going around in your society. - Current Affairs – Scientific, politic and economic updates. Daily read your news paper and keep yourself up to date. - History, Geography, Economics, Civics, Environment and so on of India and its neighboring countries. - Questions about analytical Thinking, general awareness, aptitude related to teaching. PART - C: Optional Subject:
In this section you can choose from the following subjects and thus prepare accordingly. 1. Mathematics – It consists of Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Probability etc. . Inshort mathematics syllabus of graduation level, but topics will be from 8th, 9th and 10th syllabus. 2. Physical Sciences – This includes Physics and Chemistry syllabus of graduation level, but topics will be from 8th, 9th and 10th syllabus . 3. Biological Sciences – This includes Botany and Zoology syllabus of graduation level, but topics will be from 8th, 9th and 10th syllabus. 4. Social Studies – This involves geography, civics, history and economics syllabus of graduation level, but topics will be from 8th, 9th and 10th syllabus. 5. Special English - This includes syllabus till Intermediate and syllabus prescribe for B.A Degree Level.
