Andhra Prabha is a daily Telugu newspaper and is of Indian Express group Telugu newspapaper in Andhra Pradesh. Editions of Andhra Bhoomi Telugu newspaper is published from all major cities of Andhra Pradesh and other major cities of South India namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada.

Andhra Prabha is one of the oldest Telugu news paper which started in 1938 from Chennai by Ramnath Goenka and the name was Andhra Patrika. Owner of Telugu Newspaper Andhra Bhoomi is owner of Indian Express group. The name Andhra Prabha was given by a reader of Bellary, Karnataka and was immediately adopted and the same reader was given a token gift of Rs 116.00 at that time.
History of Telugu Newspaper Anand Prabha First editor of Andhra newspaper Andhra Prabha was Khasa Subba Rao, who also used to edit Indian Express at that time, later Nyapati Narayanamurthi took the role of editing. Narla Venkateswara Rao was editor of Andhra Prabha for longest tenure of about 17 years from 1942 to 1959 and there were many revolutionary changes during his tenure including closure for brief period in 1942 during quit India movement. Andhra Prabha also faced closure when it protested censorship proposed by British Government. Neelamraju Venkataseshaiah succeeded Narla Venkateswara Rao. During Narla tenure Andhra Prabha was also banned by State of Mysore and the State of Hyderabad. Now a days Andhra Prabha is famous as an unbiased telugu newspaper. Andhra Prabha is the first choice newspaper of common telugu people in Andhra Pradesh as well as other parts of South India. There are some regular features of Andhra Prabha telugu newspaper which include Muhurtam, Graha Balam, Kreeda Prabha, Aurah!, Nayika and Chintana.
