Educational Qualification for SAIL MT(Tech.) Recruitment 2010

Minimum educational qualification for employment in above mentioned positions are:
Candidates should have full time Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Technology disciplines as mentioned below:.

1) Chemical Posts in SAIL – Only Chemical Engg. is accepted.

2) Civil Posts in SAIL - only Civil Engineering is accepted.

3) Electrical Posts in SAIL – Electrical (or) Electrical & Electronics (or) Electrical (or) Instrumentation & Control (or) Power Systems & High Voltage (or) Power Electronics (or) Power Engineering..

4) Instrumentation Posts in SAIL – Electronics & Power (or) Electronics & Instrumentation (or) Instrumentation & Control (or) Electrical, Instrumentation & Control.

5) Mechanical Posts in SAIL – Mechanical (or) Production (or) Industrial Engg. (or) Production & Industrial Engg. (or) Thermal (or) Mechanical & Automation.

6) Metallurgical Posts in SAIL –Only Metallurgical Engineering is accepted.

7) Computer Science posts in SAIL - Computer Science (or) Information Technology (or) MCA (3 years)

8) Electronics and Tele-Communication Posts in SAIL – Electronics Engg. (or) Electronics and Communication Engg. (or) Electronics and Tele-Communication Engg.(or) Comunnication Engg.

9) Ceramics Posts in SAIL – Only Ceramics Engineering is accepted.

10) Mining Posts in SAIL - Only Mining Engineering is accepted.

11) Fire Posts in SAIL – Only Fire Engineering is accepted.

12) Safety Engineering Posts in SAIL – Only Safety Engineering is accepted.

General and OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% in their qualifying degree.
For SC/ST candidates the criteria is relaxed to 55% in their qualifying Degree.

Age Limit and Personality Requirement for SAIL MT(Tech.) Recruitment 2010

Age Limit:
Candidates should not be over 30 years of age as on 1st September 2010.The age limit is relaxed by 3years for OBC candidates, 5years for SC/ST candidates,10years for PH category candidates and 5yeard for domiciles of J&K from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec,1989.

Personality
Minimum weight for the candidate : 45kgs
Minumum Height of the Candidate : 155cm
Eyes : Should not have Colour Blindness, Should not have Myopia or Hypermetropia more than 4.00(plus or minus).
Female candidate will be given slight relaxation in the height and weight.

Selection Criteria for SAIL MT(Tech.) Recruitment 2010

Step 1- Examination : Interested and Eligible candidates should attend to the SAIL Objective Examination that will be conducted at one of the following centres :
Agartala, Allahabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhilai, Bhopal,Bhubaneswar, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Durgapur, Guwahati,Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi,Rourkela, Salem, Trichy, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.

The exam will have Negative marking and 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Step 2 - Group Discussion/Personal Interview: Group Discussion will be conducted in batches of around 10. The Candidates will be assessed personally by a panel of experts from SAIL. They will mainly concentrate on the candidate's technical ability and communication skills.

Selected candidates should have to go through a medical test to finally get selected in the Recruitment.

Salary Package in SAIL MT(Tech.) Recruitment 2010

Basic pay in SAIL - Rs.20,600/-per month.
Pay Scale in SAIL- Rs.20600-3%-46500 (E-1)
CTC in SAIL - Rs. 6.5 lakhs per annum.

You will be given an application number after completing your registration and you will be allowed to take the print out of SAIL Pay-in-Slip.

2) Fill up this slip and Deposit the required amount in your nearest SBI Branch. In the bank you will be given a journal number. General and OBC candidates need to pay Rs.500. SC/ST/PH/Department candidates need to pay Rs.100.

3) Login to the site given above with your SAIL Application Number and your Date of Birth and Enter the Journal number. Your Application form will now be complete.

4) You can Download the SAIL Admit Card for the Exam from 15th November, 2010.
