Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited is inviting Applications for the following posts: 1) Officer trainee – Engineering – 200 Vacancies 2) Officer trainee – Fire and Safety – 2 Vacancies 3) Officer trainee – Human Resources – 11 Vacancies 4) Officer trainee – Human Resources (Welfare) – 2 Vacancies 5) Information System Officer - 24 Vacancies
Educational Qualification for HPCL Recruitment 2010 Minimum educational qualification for employment in above mentioned positions are given as below:
1) Ofiicer trainee – Engineering – All Engineering students from the following disciplines can apply for these posts: • Civil • Chemical • Electrical • Electronics and Tele-Communication • Instrumental • Mechanical
Candidates who possess combined degrees like Electrical and Electronics, Instrumental& Control etc. can also apply for these posts. But they should mark their branch as others and choose a paper among the given branches. Secondly, one of the eligible branches should be a major portion in the combined degree.
2) Officer trainee – Fire and Safety - The candidate should have a full time BE/B.Tech in Fire and Safety.
3) Officer trainee – Human Resources – The candidate should have a Post graduate Management Degree in one of the following specializations: • Human Resources • Personnel Management • Industrial Relations
4) Officer trainee – Human Resources (Welfare) - The candidate should have a Post graduate Management Degree in one of the following specializations: • Human Resources with labour welfare as a subject. • Personnel Management with labour welfare as a subject. • Industrial Relations with labour welfare as a subject. Additionally the conditions of "A.P.Factories Rules" for the appointment of welfare officers will be applicable.
4) Information System Officer – Candidates applying for this post should have at least one of the following degrees : • BE/ B.Tech in Electronics • BE/ B.Tech in Telecommunication • BE/ B.Tech in Electronics and telecommunication • BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science • BE/ B.Tech in Information Technology • Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) • Masters in Computer Science(MCS) • Masters in Business Administration(MBA) with IT/Systems/Computer Science specialization. • Masters in Management Studies(MMS) with IT/Systems/Computer Science specialization.
For all the posts General and OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% in their qualifying degree. For SC/ST candidates the criteria is relaxed to 50% in their qualifying Degree.
Age Limit Criteria for HPCL Recruitment 2010
1) Officer trainee – Engineering - Candidates should not be over 25 years of age as on 20th October 2010. 2) Officer trainee – Fire and Safety - Candidates should not be over 25 years of age as on 20th October 2010.
3) Officer trainee – Human Resources - Candidates should not be over 27 years of age as on 20th October 2010.
4) Information System Officer - Candidates should not be over 30 years of age as on 20th Octoberr 2010.
The age limit is relaxed by 3years for OBC candidates, 5years for SC/ST candidates,10years for PH category candidates and 5years for domiciles of J&K from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec,1989.
Work Experience Required for HPCL Recruitment 2010 Officer Trainee posts in Engineering, Fire and Safety and Human Resources are fresher jobs so even candidates with no prior experience can apply for the posts. But for the post of Information System Officer the candidates should have a work experience of at least 2 years (as on 20th October, 2010) in atleast one of the following skill sets:
• Operation Systems - Window s/Linux/O S400/N etw are/Unix • Networking - LAN/WAN/Wireless using CISCO/Nortel Technologies/VSAT • DBA (RDBMS) - Oracle/SQL Server/DB2 • Server Computting - WTS/CITRIX/Hob-link • Security - ID S/Firewalls/PKI • Messaging & Collaboration - GroupWise/Lotus Notes/MOSS • Application Development - JD Edwards ERP Tool Set/ .Net Technologies/ASP/JSP/ Visual Basic/C/VisualC++/Share Point Services
Note : Projects which are part of curriculum are not counted as work Experience.
Selection Criteria for HPCL Recruitment 2010 Step 1- Examination : Interested and Eligible candidates should attend to the HPCL Objective Examination that will be include both General Aptitude and Technical/Professional Questions from the respective disciplines. The exam will be conducted in the following centers:
Ahmedanad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam
Step 2 - Personal Interview: The Candidates will be assessed personally by a panel of experts from HPCL. They will mainly concentrate on the candidate's technical ability and communication skills.
Selected candidates should have to go through a medical test to finally get selected in the Recruitment.
Salary Package in HPCL Recruitment 2010 Stipend during training in HPCL - Rs.33,000/-per month. (Training Period = 1year) Pay Scale in HPCL- Rs.24900-50500 (E-1) CTC in HPCL - Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
The candidates who are selected for the Information System Officer will not be having the training period thus they will directly start getting the normal salary.
How to apply- HPCL Recruitment 2010 1) All the candidates interested in applying for these posts in HPCL have to apply online at this site : HPCL Online Application.
2) After filling up the application and submitting you will be asked for the payment. The application charge is Rs.535 for general and OBC candidates. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying the application fees. For payment you will have two options: • Pay online with your debit/credit card – After choosing this option and completing the transaction, make sure you tae the print out of the receipt and keep it for further reference. • Pay via SBI Bank Pay-in-Slip – By taking this option you have to take the print out of a 3-copy SBI Pay-in-slip and submit the above said amount in one of the nearest SBI branches and then enter the journal details online.
