APPSC Group 1 Results, Cut-off Denial, Mains Date

The APPSC has denied to declare the cut-off of the APPSC Group-1 exams even after the results of APPSC group-1 prelims are out. This resource concentrates on the short-listing criteria of the APPSC Group-1 prelims results. This article also enholds the information on the Group-1 Mains exam date.

The APPSC Group -1 used to qualify students in the prelims exam in the ratio of 1:15 ration in 1994. But due to a series of Supreme Court orders the ratio of APPSC Group-1 qualification was increased to 1:50. Thus corresponding to the 210 number of posts announced in the 2008 APPSC notification, 10500 candidates were selected for the APPSC mains examination out of the 85065 members who attempted the preliminary exam. This APPSC preliminary selection would be irrespective of reservations i.e reservations will not be considered in the preliminary qualification.

Since the group-1 preliminary qualification was subject to a ratio and not exactly to a cut-off mark, the APPSC denied declaring any cut-off mark for the APPSC Preliminary exam -2010. At Nampally some students demanded to have the cut-off mark to get a sense of what marks they have obtained but APPSC absolutely denied in giving the same.

Normally the Group 1 Mains Exam should be conducted about 45 days after the announcement of APPSC preliminary results. but due to the present situation in the state this in not quite possible .Thus the APPSC has decided to schedule the APPSC Mains Exam Date somewhere after the Intermediate public examinations i.e. Either in the month of April or may 2011.
