Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy appointed as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 24th November, 2010 by AICC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Before announcing New Chief Minister, there are dramatic situations happened in Andhra Pradesh Politics.Mr. Rosaiah stepped down as Chief Minister. He met Governor Narsasimhan at Raj Bhavan and given his resignation.
In the Evening, an emergency of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) unanimously agreed to ask Smt. Sonia Gandhi to select the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother, Pulivendula Constituncy MLA Vijaya Lakshmi not attend for Congress Legislatur Party Meeting. Pranab Mukherjee, AK Antony, Gulab Nabi Azad, Veerappa Moily attended as AICC observers of the CLP Meeting.
After the CLP meeting, AICC Observer and Union Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee announced Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy's name for new Chief Minster of Andhra Pradesh at the Lakeview guest house in Hyderabad.

"Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi has selected Kiran Kumar Reddy as the new leader of the congress Legislature party he will be sworn-in tomorrow by the governor as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy currently who is the speaker of the Andrha Pradesh Legislature assembly, he has been chosen as the leader of the CLP, and he will be sworn-in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow."
