What is Mobile Number Portability(MNP)?
MNP is a tecknology that has been adopted by all the mobile operators of India which lets you change over to various mobile operators without changing your mobile number.

What are the benefits of Mobile Number Portability?
MNP is a great tool for the mobile consumer. If any operator is not providing you a satisfactory service you can change to another operator without changing your name. So you need not notify all your contact about the change.

What are the charges for changing mobile operator?
Generally, the charges for Mobile Number Portability differ from circle to circle for for most circles it is fixed at Rs.19.

How long will it take to change the operator?
For most areas the operator will change in 6days.

Are there any rules for Mobile Number Portability?
1) Postpaid operators with overdue bills cannot use this facility.
2) Prepaid operators will lose all the balance left in their old SIM card, the balance will not be transferred to the new SIM card.
3) The SIM card must be at least 90days old for applying for this service.

Documents to be submitted for the Mobile Operator Change:
• Address and ID proof
• Photograph
• Mobile Number Porting Form (available at the showroom)
• Costumor Agreement Form(available at the showroom)
• Last month Bill copy (in cast of post Paid)

Can I change from Prepaid to Post Paid and vice versa during the Operator Change?
Yes. One can request for a prepaid or postpaid connection to the new operator during the mobile operator change.

Can I change mobile circles with Mobile number portability during Operator change?
No. Roaming SIM will remain as roaming even after the operator change. And Andhra SIM will remain as an Andhra SIM. It cannot be converted to Tamil Nadu SIM.

Can I change Operator for a Landline Phone?
No. As the name suggests Mobile Number Portability is only applicable to Mobile Numbers.
