In the wake of terrorist attacks, Indian government has taken initiatives to save coastal areas. Operation Hamla-2 is one such program.

What is Hamla-2?

Hamla-2 is the exercise meant for coastal protection mock drill and awareness creating program among coastal people of Andhra Pradesh.

What is the context of Hamla-2?

Hamla-2 is constituted for the coastal protection in the wake of Mumbai attack by terrorists who have come through seaways. Indian government is taking measures not to have repetition of attacks by terrorists and creating programmes for awareness among fishermen.

Who are participants of Hamla-2?

Navy, coast guard, marine teams will participate in this event.

Where and when Hamla-2 operation is going on?

In coastal areas of Andhra, for a week in March ending, the awareness programmes will be held. The staff of marine police and coastal police stations will help in this awareness program.

When was Hamla-1 taken place?

Hamla-1 was taken place in October month of 2010 in Visakhapatnam.
