    How to prepare Andhra Ugadi Pickle

    Detailed description Telugu Ugadi Pickle Preparation is given here. Making Ugadi Pachadi is simple. Prepare tamarind water, add jaggary and other ingredients given below. Mix and taste.


    Ugadi Pickle Ingredients


    Neem Tree Flowers: 1table spoon
    Jaggery : 1cup
    Tamarind Paste: 3-4 table spoons
    Chopped Mango Pieces: 1 small cup
    Coconut Pieces: 1 table spoon
    Red Chilli Powder: as required to suite your taste
    Salt : as required to suite your taste

    Ugadi Pachadi Preparation Steps


    1) In a bowl take the tamarind paste and water and let it stay for 15-20minutes.
    2) Prepare the tamarind water from the soaked solution.
    3) Introduce jaggary piece by piece into the tamarind water while stirring it. Make sure the jaggary is completely dissolving.
    4) Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

    The seven ingrediants added in the pickle/pachadi have seven different tastes. Jaggary is sweet and chilli Powder is hot. Salt is salty while tamarind is sour and Mano and coconut have their own taste. The Ugadi picle thus signifies the fact that life is also full of ups and downs, happiness and pain etc. By drinking this Ugadi Picle we sense that all the things that happen in our life whether good or bad, are part and parcel of our life. We just have the face them instead of hoping to avoid them.
