Noble prize is awarded for execeptional great achievement in the areas of chemistry,Physics, literature,medicine and peace since 1901.Noble foundation adminsters this prestigious international award,this foundation is located in Stockholm the capital of Sweden.Later after 1968 Noble prize for econmics was introduced in memory of Alfred Nobel.

Noble prize is awarded for exceptional great achievement in the areas of Chemistry, Physics,Literature, Medicine and Peace since 1901.Noble foundation administers this prestigious international award, this foundation is located in Stockholm the capital of Sweden. Noble prize winners from India

Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath Tagore is the first Indian to get Noble prize. He got this prize in the year 1913 for his work of Gitanjali. He got the prize in Literature category, Born in Bengal , he is the one who composed National anthem for our Nation.

C.V.Raman
C.V .Raman born in Tamil Nadu, in 1930 he got noble prize in Physics for Ramam effect .
Ramam effect is useful for
1. Multi component qualitative analysis.
2. Structure development,
3. Study of molecular energy levels.
He is the second Indian to get Noble Prize.

Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa got noble prize for Peace in the year 1979.Born in Europe ,came to India to serve the under privileged. Her main activity of service happen to be in Calcutta.

Har Gobind Khorana
Hargobind Kharona received Noble prize in the field of medicine in the year 1968. Born in the state of Punjab, which is presently in Pakistan. He got the prize for interpreting genetic code.

Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar
Chandrasekhar was awarded noble prize in the year 1983 for Physics, he is the nephew of C.V. Raman .He shared the award with Alfred Flower .

Amartya Sen
Amartya Sen was awarded noble prize in the year 1998.He was born in West Bengal, got the prize for his work in Economics.

Venkatraman Ramakrishnan
Venkatraman Ramakrishnan was awarded noble prize in the year 2009.He was born in Tamil Nadu.He was awarded the prize for his work in structure and function of ribosome.Chemistry was the category in which he got the award.

After the start of noble prize awards in 1901 till date we received less than 10 noble prizes. That means we not even received one prize a decade.
