PECET-2013 Admissions notification, selection procedure, important dates and fee structure

The notification for PECET-2013, Physical Common Entrance Test issued for filling-up the admissions in 1860 seats available in Bachelor of Physical Education course and 725 seats in Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education course in various university and affiliated colleges. Acharya Nagarjuna University will be conducting entrance test on behalf of APSCHE. Selection of the eligible candidates will be done based on the marks scored in the prescribed physical events tests.
Who are eligible for applying PECET-2013?
Candidates for applying B.P.Ed should have either appeared or passed the three year graduation course pursued in a recognized university from Andhrapradesh or any other equivalent university. The candidates age should complete the minimum age of 19 years by 01-07-2013.
Fro applying the U.G.D.P.Ed course, candidates have to either appeared or pass the Intermediate examination or its equivalent course that has been recognized by the Andhrapradesh state government. The candidates should complete a minimum age of 16 years by 01-07-2013.
How to apply for PECET-2013?
Candidates have to apply for PECET-2013 only through online mode. And the PECET-2013 selection procedure will remain same like previous year. Candidates have to pay rupees 350 as the registration fee at AP online/Mee Seve/e-seva centers in Andhrapradesh from March 5, 2013 onwards for appearing PECET-2013. How to get selected for B.P.Ed and U.G.D.P.Ed courses?
The selection of candidates will be done purely based on the marks scored in the physical events. The candidates have to showcase their talent by performing well in below given 5 events.
100 meters running race
800meters running race (men) and 400 meters running race (women)
Long-jump or High-jump (candidates can select anyone according with their wish)
One game from the list of 11games (for example Handball Kabbadi, Tennis etc)
The above mentioned each event will be allotted with 100 marks and a total of 500 marks. 100 marks will be there for sport merit certificates (incentive marks), hence for the total of 600 marks, the selection of candidates for pursuing the B.P.Ed and U.G.D.P.Ed courses will be done based on the scored marks merit. Candidates aiming to get the job of physical education and health education teachers have to apply for the PECET-2013 for pursuing the courses and the admissions will be done purely based on the merit scored in physical events and candidates need not appear for any written examination. Candidates have to reach Nagarjuna University, Guntur for participating in physical events and the events will start from May 2, 2013. It will take around 30-40 days for completing physical events of all candidates.
Government colleges will collect rupees 5000 as fee for the Bachelor Degree in Physical Education course having the duration of one year whereas candidates have to pay rupees 18,000 as fee in private colleges. Same like that for pursuing the two year duration having Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education course, candidates have to pay rupees 5000 for Government colleges and have to rupees 18,000 for admissions in private colleges. Well the fee structure may vary and will be known how much fee will be collected during the admissions time.

The Starting date of applying through online mode: March 5, 2013.
Closing date of applying through online mode: April 18, 2013.
Physical events starting date: May 2, 2013.
Result announcement of PECET-2013: June 16, 2013.
