Karimnagar was also called as Kareem Nagar in the past, The name derived from Syed Karimullah Shah Saheb Quadri. A Municipal Corporation in Karimnagar district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Karimnagar District. It is located on the banks of Maneru river, a tributary of the Godavari river.
